Hello, and welcome! I’m Hanalei, the owner and principal violinist behind Hanalei Ritter Strings.
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Through years of dedicated study, orchestral performance, and countless weddings, I’ve discovered that my greatest passion is creating meaningful moments through live music. There is something truly special about watching a couple walk down the aisle while hearing a song that perfectly reflects their story, and it’s a privilege I never take for granted.
Whether I’m performing as a solo violinist or alongside other talented musicians, my goal is always the same: to provide a beautiful, professional, and unforgettable musical experience that allows you to be fully present on one of the most important days of your life.
Why I Love Wedding Music
Every wedding is unique, and I believe the music should be just as personal. From timeless classics to contemporary favorites, I enjoy helping couples create a soundtrack that reflects their personalities and complements the atmosphere they’ve envisioned.
I strive to make the planning process simple and enjoyable by providing guidance, clear communication, and carefully prepared performances. My hope is that when your guests think back on your wedding, the music is one of the moments they remember most.
I perform on both acoustic and electric violin, offering couples the flexibility to choose the style that best reflects their vision—or even enjoy both throughout their wedding day.
Bringing Music to South Florida & Kauai
Based in South Florida, I proudly perform at weddings and special events throughout the region. I’m also excited to offer destination wedding violin services on the beautiful island of Kauai during select travel dates each year.
Couples whose wedding dates coincide with my scheduled Kauai travel dates can enjoy the convenience of live violin music without additional travel fees. Whether your celebration takes place at an elegant South Florida venue or along Kauai’s breathtaking coastline, I’m honored to help create a memorable and meaningful experience through live music.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the price different for Acoustic or Electric Violin?
No, you can choose between Solo Acoustic Violin or Solo Electric Violin for the same price. Either can be played with amplification and backtracks.
Is the wedding rehearsal included in the Ceremony Package?
Typically, I do not attend rehearsals. If you would like me to be present, this can be arranged for an additional fee equal to my hourly rate.
Can I request a song not in your repertoire?
Yes! The Ceremony Package includes up to three songs of your choice. I’ll share my prepared list, but if you have special requests, I’ll do my best to accommodate. I’ll first look for a free arrangement (that meets my required standards) if not available, I can often find a purchasable arrangement or create a custom arrangement. Please provide the title, artist, and a link (like YouTube) to help me prepare.

Can you play overtime if the wedding runs late?
I may not always be available if I have another event booked, so it’s best to plan ahead if you expect delays. Overtime is available at the rate of $100 per musician per each additional 30 minutes of overtime.
What do you need me to provide?
I will bring all the equipment that I will need, but I may need one armless chair per musician at each performance location.

Are there travel fees?
Pricing includes travel within a 50 mile radius of West Palm Beach, Florida. Events located outside the standard service area may incur additional travel fees, including but not limited to mileage, tolls, parking, lodging, or other necessary travel related expenses. Any applicable travel fees will be disclosed and approved prior to booking.
